I've never done anything spectacular —no grand adventures or
exploits— although I did have a lot of fun in the hippy era. I never
married. I have no children —one of the regrets of my life. I was very
ill with Crohn's Disease for several years when I was in my twenties,
but I've been pretty good ever since.
I've been thoroughly committed to writing since the early seventies when
I was in the masters in creative writing program
at San Francisco State University. I've worked as an editor on a number of
technical books, and I've had several
short stories
published. I've also written two novels that I'm very proud of:
The Jesse James Scrapbook,
published by Hilliard & Harris, and
The Fade-away, published by Pocol Press.
Each of them took me about five years to write. I consider them to be
literary novels. They're about America, and they're about heroes. But
more importantly, they're about all of us —the common folk, the backbone
of the world.
Many thanks to my friend Bryan Costales for doing this website and for
many years of good times and support.
